Our Founder and CEO, Ferdinand Lyngdoh Marshillong, a person with hearing impairment, was conferred a National Award by the President of India for his outstanding contribution to job creation for Persons with Disabilities through EKANBHA.

Ekanbha proudly reached a significant milestone by successfully completing a nine-month incubation program with Prime Hub Meghalaya. In recognition of our progress, Ekanbha was honored with the “Hero of Incubation” Award, presented by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya.

Ekanbha reached another important milestone by being recognized as one of the top six startups from the North East under the Prakriti Incubation Launch Pad program. This initiative was supported by Pernod Ricard India Foundation and incubated by IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP).

EKANBHA marked another proud milestone when our Founder was honored with an Appreciation Certificate and Certificate of Achievement by the Governor of Meghalaya. The award was received on behalf of the Founder by Veronica, representing EKANBHA.

With just one sewing machine and one dedicated staff member, we took our first steps. Our passion led to a proud milestone—EKANBHA was selected among the Top 75 startups in the Chief Minister E-Challenge Championship 0.5.

The Office of the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities and the State Resource Centre on Disability Affairs, Shillong honored the Founder of EKANBHA with an Appreciation Certificate in recognition of his commitment to innovation, economic empowerment, and sustainable business development.
